Hi, I’m Helen.
I’m a mother of two, Internal Pelvic Release Work practitioner, Registered Nurse, Health and Childbirth Educator, and Yoga and Meditation Teacher.
I’m passionate about and experienced in supporting women to understand their bodies and be empowered in accessing the care they need and deserve.
My Approach
After 16 years as a Registered Nurse and Clinical Nurse Educator in Australia and overseas, and experiencing care throughout my own pregnancy and postpartum, I became frustrated with the treatment of women in mainstream health.
I observed the expert-to-patient relationship that dominates our care of women negatively impacting women’s health and wellbeing through dismissal of symptoms, distrust of the female body and provision of inadequate care.
More and more women are being taught not to trust or understand their bodies, and not to follow their wisdom and intuition in seeking answers to the physical, mental, emotional and energetic signs and symptoms they are experiencing.
Already passionate about and experienced in supporting women through my work as a Yoga teacher and Childbirth Educator, I discovered the missing link when I came across Internal Pelvic Release Work.
I know that with education and empowerment, women can heal and thrive. I know that you are the expert of your own holistic wellbeing and am honoured to guide you to reconnect with this wisdom and help you find the answers that mainstream medicine dismisses, diminishes and ignores.
