The Crochet Demonstration Uterus is a beautiful handmade teaching tool to demonstrate the uterus and cervix and their ligamentous attachments.

Use the uterus to explain anatomy, the structures of the uterus and the impact of soft tissue tension, birth, prolapse, pelvic trauma and pregnancy on the uterus and her attachments.

Includes uterus, cervix, fallopian tubes, ovaries, utero-ovarian ligaments, round ligaments, pubo-cervical ligaments, transverse cervical ligaments, uterosacral ligaments and broad ligament.

HOW TO USE

1. Hoop option: attach the cervical ligaments to a bamboo embroidery hoop in lieu of a bony pelvis model

2. Clip option: attach the colour-coded pairs of ligaments to the bony pelvis model - pubo-cervical and transverse via the obturator foramen, uterosacral joined to each other behind the sacrum

3. Insert balloon and inflate, ensuring that the neck of the balloon remains above the cervix

4. Place the net bag over the uterus and pull the round ligaments through the button holes to demonstrate the broad ligament

MATERIALS

Uterus and attachments: 100% wool yarn.
Colours may vary but separate colours for the cervix, uterus and attachments are guaranteed.
