Derived from the Ricinus communis plant, its organically produced seeds are cold pressed into Organic Castor Oil, a carrier known to deeply moisturise and protect the skin. Rich in Ricinoleic acid, a rare and highly valued monounsaturated fatty acid with anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. Linoleic and Oleic acids help to moisturise, soften and nourish the skin.

Castor Oil has the ability to penetrate deep into the skin and reach underlying tissue, muscles and joints. Its fatty acid profile promotes the production of collagen and elastin, two proteins that help to maintain skin elasticity and strength - ideal for perineal and scar tissue healing from tearing, episiotomy, caesarean and surgery.
